Face i don't do any of that, i'm afraid i don't let West Ham and it's misfortunes be the gauge for unhappiness in my life, it's now a great day out with mates since it got all fashionable.

To be fair, Bristol haven't exactly been up in arms about this, because it's all a big fucking fuss about not a lot. As I said earlier, nobody else actually gives a fuck, it's just you lot that do.

As I have said many times on here, I believe a small fine suits the Club, FiFA and the FA.
If we appealed and won then Senegal could appeal etc etc leaving the FA Cup pretty much fucked.
This way we're not out of pocket and everyone can move on from this pathetic saga.

Could have gone worse for us, I guess, if FIFA had been convinced that we were playing them for mugs. But we played innocent and confused and dropped Sakho for the Liverpool game, so FIFA probably thought we weren't deliberately taking the piss...

He was called up on December 18th. It says so in the FIFA statement. Hence why we were fined.

It hinges on something quite subtle I think. Two possible courses of events:
1. Senegal call Sakho up. Senegal are told by us that he is still injured. Senegal call someone else up instead. Sakho can't play for us during the ACN because he was called up, according to article 5 of appendix 1.
2. Senegal ask if Sakho is still injured. Senegal are told by us that he is still injured. Senegal call someone else up instead. Sakho can play for us during the ACN because Senegal chose not to call him up because he was injured.
I can see how West Ham and Senegal might have a difference of opinion about whether what happened was 1 or 2. And I can also see FIFA wanting to squash this kind of sophistry by slapping a fine on us for messing about.
